Johan Kronholm is an independent R&D consultant based in Skåne with a background in Medical Radiation Physics (PhD) and Engineering Physics (MSc). He has over 20 years of experience translating complex technical challenges into executable projects and products across water technology, life science, food, energy and materials.
From 2012 to 2013, Johan served as the Swedish Contact and Consultation Point in the EU-funded Science Link project — an interface between Swedish industry and synchrotron and neutron facilities including MAX IV, DESY and HZB. Sweden submitted 22 of the 66 total applications, the highest of any participating country, and MAX IV received more company allocations than any other facility in the project.
Johan has contributed to numerous successful funding applications to Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency, Eurostars and EU Horizon 2020, bringing significant capital to client organisations.
He now offers consultation to companies seeking to use MAX IV and ESS for advanced materials characterisation, including support for Vinnova-funded pilot and development projects.

Since 2014, I have contributed to 23 accepted funding applications, securing approximately 30 MSEK for clients through Vinnova, Eurostars, the Swedish Energy Agency etc.
